A Random Image

‘Bear’ was published as a series of comics by SLG Publishing, from 2003 to 2006, each filled with a mash of random violence until the conclusion to Bear’s woes with issue ten, ‘Bear X’. In that time, Bear found a strong and physically attractive audience, who were the main reason it continued as long as it did. Alongside the comics, SLG produced plushy toys (both regular and massive size!), t-shirts and two collected paperbacks.

With no hesitation I can say Bear changed my life, and I owe him a huge amount. So since his end in 2006, I’ve toyed with ways to show him some love. Plans for a Looshkin spin-off TV show floundered in network development, so instead I want to revive the long-dead bearfoo.com.

The idea of bearfoo.com is to post up each of Bear’s stories, from the first to the last, every week. To build a chronological online library of his comics taken straight from the comic books. This serves as some kind of thank you to everyone who read Bear the first time around (in the hope you might enjoy revisiting it!), as well as offering up Bear for new readers discovering it for the first time.

And if you’ve already got the books, don’t worry! While bearfoo.com will feature every Bear story from the comics, the wealth of exclusive extra stuff produced for the books (there must be over 60 pages of extra stuff in total) isn’t up here. This is Bear’s main story, on its own.

So please enjoy Bear, for free, every week! And get in touch if you wanna say hi!
